Please be aware that there is a Fire Station directly behind our park. From time to time the siren will sound to call our volunteer firefighters. If you hear any alarms, please check whether it is the station or within the park grounds. There is no need to be alarmed if the station siren activates.
Building Evacuation & Emergencies
If there is a fire or emergency and/or instruction is given by a Warden to evacuate, ALL occupants must IMMEDIATELY proceed to the nearest Assembly Area at the Playground. See the map below.
Notify reception or management immediately of emergencies. If after-hours, please call the on-call number on the reception sliding door.
Emergency Services Access
The sign-in rule does not apply to emergency services or in cases of an emergency due to an event or essential service fault or failure. In these instances Licensees may authorize access immediately, informing management at the first convenience.
Fire Extinguishers
Our park is well equipped with fire extinguishers, you will find these at every barbecue or cooking area. They are also at reception, in the playground, the communal kitchen and staff maintenance sheds.
National Emergencies & Pandemics
The Port Waikato Holiday Park must comply with health & safety rules and regulations applied by the government or any government authority. We may in addition enforce our own policies to protect our business, community, park users and staff. Licensees must adhere to any policies and procedures that the park and/or the government puts in place.
In the case of an emergency, pandemic or health & safety announcement, please check the rules and regulations. We will let you know if we have put any park policies in place.
